Over time, my writing has always circled back to one core theme: freedom.
On Happiness Ride, that idea shows up as personal growth, mindset shifts, and everyday choices that make life feel lighter and more meaningful. On The Rich Minimalist, I’ve explored how less can actually lead to more—more time, more purpose, more clarity.
But freedom has another side too: the financial one. Our relationship with money can quietly shape how much autonomy we truly have. For many of us, the path toward inner freedom is blocked by financial stress, unclear goals, or the feeling that money is something that happens to us rather than for us. That’s where my newest project was born: Financial Freedom Mentor.
When people hear "financial freedom," it often sounds like a distant dream reserved for the ultra-disciplined or the already wealthy; or it's self-punishment due to extreme frugality. I’ve always believed it can be much simpler and much more personal. It’s not just about early retirement or stock portfolios. It’s about creating alignment between your money, your values, and your lifestyle.
Financial Freedom Mentor was built around that idea. It’s a tool designed to bring financial awareness and simplicity into daily life. Originally, I developed the tool just for myself as a helper, a compass basically that guides me on the way to financial freedom. Then I decided to polish and publish the app to help other people make aligned decisions without the overwhelm of spreadsheets or jargon. In many ways, it’s an extension of minimalist thinking applied to money: decluttering the financial noise and focusing on what really matters.
Instead of offering another set of formulas or generic advice, Financial Freedom Mentor guides you through small, actionable steps. The app helps you:
It’s not meant to replace financial professionals or traditional tools. Rather, it’s a mentor in your pocket—one that helps you stay grounded and focused as you build a life aligned with your values.
The Rich Minimalist continues to ask deep questions about how we define wealth and meaning. Financial Freedom Mentor takes those reflections and turns them into practice. Together, they form a bridge between mindset and action—between knowing what truly matters and creating the conditions to live it out.
If you’ve ever read something here on Happiness Ride and thought, “I want to experience this sense of peace and balance in my finances too,” that’s exactly what this project aims to make possible.
I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead. Financial Freedom Mentor is now live and growing: a small but meaningful step toward helping more people find freedom through simplicity.
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to take a closer look.
